The Parenting Program Facilitator is responsible for delivering the Nurturing Parenting Program (NPP) curriculum to families through regular home visits, adhering to the NPP model with fidelity and cultural awareness. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading educational sessions for parents with children aged 0-15, utilizing the designated parenting curriculum.
- Preparing necessary materials ahead of sessions to ensure clarity and understanding, and creating an inviting learning atmosphere.
- Connecting families with appropriate resources to address their specific needs.
- Maintaining detailed records of client interactions to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and measure outcomes.
- Drafting reports for court, status updates, or other documentation as required by referring agencies.
- Administering assessments and surveys to evaluate client progress and satisfaction.
- Submitting attendance and documentation on a weekly basis, ensuring all files meet program standards.
- Providing data to the program manager for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as needed.
- Engaging in professional development through workshops, conferences, and training sessions.
- Recruiting families within the community to maintain a full caseload while exemplifying excellent customer service in all interactions.
- Carrying out additional duties as necessary to fulfill contract requirements and support the organization's success.
Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, life, vision, flexible spending accounts (FSA), short and long-term disability, a matching 403(b) plan, holiday pay, and after one year of service, accrued paid vacation time. Additionally, a SIGN-ON INCENTIVE OF 40 HOURS OF VACATION TIME OFF WILL BE AWARDED AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE INITIAL PROBATIONARY PERIOD.
Qualifications- A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related discipline, with a minimum of two (2) years of experience providing direct services to children and families. Knowledge of family dynamics, child development, and parenting techniques is essential. Six (6) months of experience in parent education is required; a master's degree may substitute for one (1) year of experience.
- Bilingual candidates fluent in English and Portuguese, English and Russian, or English and Spanish are preferred to effectively serve our diverse clientele in South Broward.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills are necessary; the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects with similar deadlines is essential. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, is preferred.
- Must possess reliable transportation and be willing to conduct home visits. A valid Florida Driver's License and proof of insurance are required.
- Able to thrive in a collaborative environment, working effectively with other professionals and direct service providers. Comfort in engaging with diverse populations is crucial. Previous experience in home visiting is advantageous.
