Job Title: Director of the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences

We are seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Director of the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences at the University of South Carolina. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and guidance to the school's faculty, staff, and students, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation in research, teaching, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and vision for the school's research, teaching, and outreach programs
  • Foster collaboration and partnerships with other departments, colleges, and external organizations
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the school's mission and goals
  • Supervise and mentor faculty and staff to ensure their success and growth
  • Represent the school and the university in various forums and meetings
Requirements

The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field and have a strong record of research and teaching experience. They will also possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve excellence.
