The coordinator oversees the operation of simulations, providing training and support to faculty and teaching assistants. By employing diverse instructional strategies, advanced technology, and equipment, the coordinator will create a laboratory environment that replicates clinical settings, encouraging active learning, critical thinking, effective communication, and the competencies necessary for delivering safe, patient-centered care that optimizes patient outcomes.

The coordinator will also manage the procurement of simulation equipment and supplies. In addition, this role may involve teaching a lab course and offering open lab hours to assist students in honing their skills. Responsibilities extend to coordinating programs such as the Patient Care Technician Program in collaboration with practice partners, which includes faculty recruitment and schedule management. Furthermore, the coordinator will engage in advising and participating in School of Nursing admission events.

This position entails year-round responsibilities with flexible duties during the summer months.

Faculty members in this program are expected to teach, advise, mentor, and evaluate students through various learning modalities, including laboratory, face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats, to achieve student and program learning outcomes.
