We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Veterinarian or Sr. Clinical Veterinarian to join our team at the Laboratory Animal Medicine Services (LAMS) department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing veterinary care and guidance to our animal research teams, as well as assisting with training and oversight of laboratory animal procedures.

About the Job

This is a full-time position that requires a Doctoral Degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an AVMA-accredited school. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in laboratory animal medicine, knowledge of pertinent laws and regulations, and the ability to obtain an Ohio license within one year.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical guidance to veterinary technical staff for rodent health cases and for care of USDA covered species.
  • Support the Director by providing didactic and hands-on training for LAMS technical staff, veterinary technicians, and research staff members.
  • Provide support for regulatory compliance and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) activities.
