Position Overview:
The University of Miami's Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine, and Pain Management is seeking a highly qualified individual for the role of Clinical Assistant Professor in Anesthesia. This esteemed institution is recognized for its commitment to academic excellence, innovative medical care, and pioneering research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive anesthetic care across a diverse range of surgical procedures, including orthopedics, gynecology, general surgery, and vascular operations.
- Supervise and mentor residents, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), and Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists (SRNAs).
- Engage actively in departmental academic activities, including teaching and participating in conferences.
- Be available for on-call duties, which may include overnight, evening, and weekend shifts.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed an accredited residency in Anesthesiology or possess equivalent training and certification. Board eligibility or certification in Anesthesiology is mandatory.
Research Experience:
While not a prerequisite, prior research experience is highly valued and can enhance the candidate's application.
Compensation:
Salary will be commensurate with experience and the academic rank at the time of hiring.
