Job Title: Studio Engineer

About the Role:

As a Studio Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring broadcast studio system uptime to enable time-sensitive, ad hoc press engagements and production requests. You will provide Senate staff with Broadcast System and Production expertise, develop training programs for Senate staff, and perform an initial baseline review and documentation of the technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure broadcast studio system uptime and provide technical support to Senate staff.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for Senate staff on basic troubleshooting diagnostics.
  • Perform an initial baseline review and documentation of the technical environment.
  • Develop preventative maintenance programs and backup/redundancy Standard Operating Procedures to ensure system availability.
  • Research, evaluate, test, and make recommendations on new equipment and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 15 years of total experience, 5-8 years of relevant broadcast experience.
  • Technical skills in Broadcast Studio Production engineering, network engineering, systems maintenance, integration, graphics, office automation support, hardware/software troubleshooting, and web development.
  • Security clearance level: All contract personnel must pass a United States Capitol Police background check.
  • Skills and abilities: Experience delivering to 'white glove' service standards in a professional broadcast production environment.
