Position Overview

The MRI Technologist is responsible for conducting MRI imaging procedures and associated techniques, facilitating the interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.

Certification Requirements
  • Registration: Must possess current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
  • Certification: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification or an equivalent credential recognized by the American Heart Association is required.
  • Licensure: Must be licensed and certified by the NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess relevant information and prepare patients for procedures, ensuring they understand what to expect.
  • Document patient care and imaging procedures accurately.
  • Utilize hospital and departmental information systems and equipment effectively.
  • Maintain productivity and flexibility in managing workload to meet patient care needs.
  • Adhere to departmental policies and safety protocols specific to the modality.
  • Engage actively in departmental and modality meetings and initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts aligned with organizational goals.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as an MRI Technologist is required.
