The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures and related techniques, ensuring high-quality imaging results for interpretation by licensed independent practitioners.
Key Responsibilities- Certification Requirements: Must hold current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- Life Support Certification: Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association or an equivalent course.
- Licensure: Must be licensed and certified by the NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
- Conducts MRI diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in accordance with professional standards and departmental protocols.
- Prepares and educates patients regarding procedures and expectations, ensuring a comfortable experience.
- Maintains accurate documentation of patient care and imaging procedures.
- Utilizes hospital and departmental information systems and equipment effectively.
- Demonstrates productivity and flexibility in managing workload to meet patient care needs.
- Adheres to departmental policies and safety protocols specific to MRI procedures.
- Engages actively in departmental meetings and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as an MRI Technologist is required.
