Job Summary

Home of Hope is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Habilitation Training Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our support services team, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Support: Provide daily living assistance, including personal hygiene, meal planning, and transportation, to ensure the well-being and safety of our clients.
  • Vocational Training: Coordinate and provide instruction in vocational skills, identifying areas where assisted techniques may be useful and developing natural supports to integrate clients into the work environment.
  • Client Advocacy: Assist clients in achieving maximum potential toward self-determination, encouraging independence and inclusion in all aspects of life.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with all employees, service providers, professionals, guardians, and families to ensure seamless support services.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document incidents, accidents, and medical issues, and report any concerns or suspicions of rights violations, financial exploitation, neglect, or abuse.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalency; minimum age 18.
  • Experience: No experience necessary.
  • Certifications: Must complete HOH First Aid/CPR Training, which includes full compressions on the floor or ground.
  • Skills: Ability to lift 50-70 pounds, push/pull 50 pounds, sit, stoop, or stand for prolonged periods, and walk at an efficient rate of speed.
Working Conditions

Must be willing to work at multiple or various locations and overtime when business needs call for such.
