Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Application Support Specialist to join our team at Alameda Health System.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working day hours as part of our Business Professional & IT department. The salary for this role is approximately $85,000 - $110,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze systems compatibility and configure systems in accordance with operation and technical requirements.
  • Actively participate in the installation, configuration, and problem resolution for applications.
  • Provide end-user support and training either remotely or onsite.
  • Consult on workflow changes and improvements.
  • Coordinate follow-through on user requests using established reporting structures.
  • Document and prioritize problem reports and resolutions.
  • Follow established application support and IS department policies and procedures.
  • Participate in national and local application User or Support groups.
  • Provide trend analysis of problems and document suggested resolutions.
  • Provide application-specific guidance, training, and documentation.
  • Work with project staff, IS staff, other application analysts, and vendors during implementations, upgrades, and support.
  • Review and manage system log files, error reports, alert audit logs, and security access logs.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in a related area is required, including project and cross-functional team coordination, application testing methods, and communication across the organization.
  • Certification in the application being supported (Epic) is required within six months if the position is for Epic.
