Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse Supervisor at SLP Operations, LLC, you will oversee the day-to-day nursing functions of an assigned area, supervising Certified Nursing Assistants and providing nursing care to residents as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise professional and non-professional staff in the delivery of resident care, scheduling job assignments and developing nursing unit priorities.
  • Orient new staff and participate in the recruitment and selection of nursing personnel, communicating policies and providing feedback as needed.
  • Prepare and review medical records and nurse's notes, assessing residents' physical and emotional status and monitoring resident activity.
  • Coordinate and assist with new admissions, transfers, and discharges, transcribing physicians' telephone orders and communicating with residents, family members, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians, signing and dating charting and recordkeeping in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State.
  • Must be able to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance and meeting all local health regulations.
  • Experience as a Charge Nurse or supervisory experience is preferred.
