Job Title: Certified Nurse Aide

Giddings Residence and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nurse Aide to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nurse Aide will provide direct nursing care to residents, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with federal and state regulations, facility policies, and good nursing judgment. This includes performing resident care duties, documenting tasks, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and assisting with daily living activities.
  • Document tasks performed and maintain accurate records.
  • Follow infection control practices and report any observations or concerns to the nursing supervisor.
  • Participate in facility surveys and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Ensure that nursing interventions are performed in a timely manner and provide explanations for delays if necessary.
  • Respect residents' dignity and privacy at all times.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current, unencumbered certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state.
  • 2 years' experience in Long-Term Care preferred.
  • Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet) required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Work Environment:

This position requires physical activity and may involve walking to various locations within the facility. The employee will be required to use standard office equipment and may need to use machinery consistent with the job duties.
