Job Summary:
The Biomedical Equipment Specialist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and repairing complex biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose complex biomedical equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs.
- Support escalated issues from junior technicians and provide guidance on appropriate policies and procedures.
- Perform planned maintenance, safety and environmental inspections, and maintain effective customer relations.
- Document all repair actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule.
- Ensure proper care of spares, tools and test equipment, and ensure calibration.
- Maintain approved parts inventory and enhance technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures.
- Meet Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety requirements, and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other related field required.
- 3 years of related experience required, with 2 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of biomedical equipment.
