Shifts: Full-Time 11pm-7am and Per Diem

Position Overview

The Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) operates under the direct oversight of a licensed nurse, delivering essential patient care while ensuring comfort and safety for all residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and document vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height, and weight.
  • Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities (ADLs), ensuring accurate documentation as required.
  • Distribute nourishment and hydration according to schedules or upon request.
  • Report any changes in patient or resident conditions to the supervising nurse during each shift.
  • Respond to call lights promptly, adhering to established timeframes.
  • Ensure patient and resident safety is maintained at all times.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Follow nursing instructions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide orientation for new staff members as necessary.
  • Adapt to assignment changes due to fluctuations in patient census.
  • Maintain required certifications and complete mandatory skill updates.
  • Adhere to all policies and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist in other units as assigned to meet patient care needs.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Supervisory Role

  • May temporarily assume department leadership responsibilities based on operational needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Florida.
  • Completion of Medication Administration Training (6 hours) for Assisted Living Facility (ALF) if applicable.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Preferred: 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Proficient computer skills for accurate documentation of services and care.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
