The 9SE unit is a premier Level I trauma and post-operative medical-surgical department specializing in musculoskeletal disorders, including total joint replacements, spinal surgeries, fragility fractures, and complex trauma cases. We also provide exceptional care for patients undergoing plastic and breast reconstruction surgeries. Our team operates in a collaborative environment, supported by a diverse group of professionals, including case managers, pharmacists, physical and occupational therapists, advanced practice providers, and physicians. As a member of this team, you will gain valuable experience caring for patients with various co-morbidities, particularly those transitioning from recovery.

Scope of Responsibilities
Your role will involve providing patient care in accordance with established care plans, unit protocols, and hospital policies under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Key responsibilities include:
- Safely transporting patients using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Documenting patient services accurately.
- Serving as an Observer for patients requiring constant monitoring to ensure their safety.
- Performing general clerical duties to support the efficient operation of the nursing unit.
- Documenting care provided in the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred experience in a hospital or nursing home setting.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
