About the Role

At Finn Legal Group, APC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting attorneys in preparing estate plans, managing probate processes, and administering trusts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
  • Coordinate probate processes, including preparing petitions, inventories, accountings, and other documents required by the California Probate Code.
  • Manage trust administration tasks, such as drafting correspondence, preparing trust distribution documents, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Conduct research on probate laws, estate planning strategies, and related legal matters as needed.
  • File and manage legal documents with courts and other relevant agencies.
  • Communicate with clients, financial advisors, and other professionals regarding estate planning and trust administration matters.
  • Track deadlines, manage files, and maintain organized records for estate planning and probate cases.
  • Assist in managing client intake, scheduling meetings, and ensuring effective communication and follow-up with clients.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
  • Strong working knowledge of the California Probate Code and estate planning procedures.
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent education.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in legal research and document management software.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Comfortable with a hybrid work schedule, requiring both remote work and occasional in-office presence.
