  • Portion and cut different types of meat as per specifications.
  • Prepare a variety of dishes while adhering closely to established recipes.
  • Evaluate the quality of ingredients received from suppliers, accepting or rejecting based on appearance.
  • Monitor ingredient inventory to ensure sufficient supplies for daily operations.
  • Store ingredients properly in designated containers to maintain freshness.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work surfaces, tools, and utensils.
  • Ensure food and storage temperatures are consistently monitored and maintained.
  • Follow directions effectively and maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
  • Adhere to all regulations and guidelines set forth by the Food & Beverage department.
  • Regular attendance is crucial for this position.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Reporting Structure:

Reports directly to the Executive Chef while adhering to the uniform standards of the assigned location.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in catering or kitchen environments is preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills are necessary.
  • Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks effectively.
  • A positive attitude and professional appearance are essential.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Participation in all relevant training sessions is expected.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Prior experience in food preparation is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of sanitary practices.
  • Understanding of food storage and temperature control.
  • Ability to read and follow recipes accurately.
  • Adherence to grooming and dress code standards.
  • Strong work ethic with a focus on quality and urgency in a team setting.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail is critical.

Other Requirements:

This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

The role involves physical activities such as lifting up to 45 lbs, standing, and walking for extended periods. Candidates should be able to handle temperature changes when entering cold storage areas.
