The Senior Patient Financial Counselor is essential in guiding patients through the financial complexities associated with transplant procedures, VAD implantation, and ongoing medical requirements. This role ensures compliance with billing practices within the transplant department while evaluating patients' insurance plans and financial readiness for transplantation and necessary immunosuppressive medications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' insurance coverage and financial circumstances.
  • Facilitate financial planning for transplant surgeries and related medical needs.
  • Ensure adherence to billing compliance standards within the transplant department.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  • Obtain TFCA certification within two years of employment.
  • Three years of experience in a comparable role within a healthcare setting.
