IT Network Support Specialist

The Network Administrator I will support all functional areas of the organization in alignment with the plant business objectives. Under direct supervision, this position assists with routine IT operations, low-level problem resolution of computing and/or communications functions, and ensures the cyber security of information systems.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with computer hardware repairs and installation of approved software on PCs.
- Provide help desk, analytical, and technical support by performing maintenance, expanding functionality, and improving performance of hardware and software tools used.
- Provide computer/network equipment asset inventory through data entry and maintenance of assets, including equipment installation, disposal, processing, and tracking.
- Assist in the implementation of IT and cyber security policies, procedures, standards, and system documentation development and maintenance.
- Assist on various special projects and tasks as well as coordinating meetings.
- Perform media and equipment scans.
- Administer and maintain end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; or significant work experience and certifications.
- One - five years in IT support or similar capacity with the ability to support: Windows, Desktop, Networking, Data/Voice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively, strong customer service skills.
- Must be self-directed and able to work independently.
- Proven project management skills.
- Able to learn new technology as needed to meet the requirements of the position.
