Financial Reporting Manager

The J.R. Simplot Company is a leading global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching, and cattle production.

Job Summary

The Financial Reporting Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the company's financial information. This key position oversees the entire financial reporting process, from data collection and consolidation to preparation, review, and filing of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the financial reporting process: Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
  • Ensure financial statements comply with all relevant accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP reporting requirements.
  • Manage the consolidation of financial information from multiple entities.
  • Lead the close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting cycles.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a 4-year college or university.
  • 5+ years related experience and/or training.
  • Public accounting experience or experience with a public company as part of the financial reporting team.
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional designation preferred.
