Career Renew is seeking a skilled Mammography Technician to join our team in a dynamic healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate will administer ionizing radiation when performing screening and/or diagnostic mammograms according to established protocols, demonstrating a thorough understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a high degree of accuracy in breast positioning, exposure techniques, and subsequent evaluation of imaging parameters to optimize patient imaging and care.
  • Integrating technical skills, patient interaction, and care to obtain viable diagnostic information as ordered by the physician.
  • Utilizing independent professional judgment and critical thinking to obtain diagnostic information and seeking direction from a MQSA qualified interpreting physician or lawful institutional policies when necessary.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain sensitive to the physical, cultural, and emotional needs of patients.

Requirements:

  • Post High School Diploma Program
  • Relevant experience in mammography
  • BLS Certification and RT (R) or RT (R) (M) certification
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 11:30pm-8:00pm, every 3rd weekend, occasional OT, on-call weekend.
