Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Development Specialist to join our team at Butler America Aerospace, LLC. in Orlando, FL.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

Job Summary

This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced CNC Program Engineer to create and implement efficient manufacturing processes using CAD/CAM software and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of CNC programming, engineering drawings, and material properties. A background in lean manufacturing techniques and experience working with SAP (Qnotes, Routings, Bills of material) would be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and optimize CNC programs for sheet metal punching and determine raw material stock sizes
  • Review engineering drawings and tolerances to support ideal fabrication processes
  • Research tooling and process enhancements for improved efficiencies
  • Design and develop drill templates and weld fixtures
  • Create/maintain work instructions using SAP

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in CNC programming and manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desirable Skills:

  • Mastery of MasterCAM, Striker, AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks Polyworks
  • Familiarity with Training and Simulation Products for Military DoD applications
  • Lean Six Sigma – Green Belt or Black Belt certification
