  • Keep track of market, industry, product, and pricing trends.
  • Assist in structuring and negotiating necessary documentation to execute trades.
  • Provide asset valuation assistance for acquisition and development projects.
  • Support acquisition efforts by evaluating and underwriting revenue streams for targeted power generation facilities.
  • Collaborate with the acquisition and development team to assess strategic hedging options.
  • Develop hedging strategies for power generation across various market regions to enhance profitability and reduce margin volatility.
  • Focus hedging efforts on gross margin value streams such as power, ancillary services, and capacity.
  • Formulate comprehensive risk management and trading strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to strategic objectives and established risk controls.
  • Apply statistical and econometric analysis to raw Power and Gas datasets to derive robust, predictive insights.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in trading, structuring, or analytical support within the power sector.
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and fundamental research skills, with proven ability to utilize programming languages for code manipulation.
  • Familiarity with various trade capture and programming systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision and exceptional follow-through.
