Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and supervise the construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, including roads, parking areas, and walkways within healthcare settings.
  • Conduct site assessments and analyze various data sources (maps, reports, tests, drawings, etc.).
  • Perform technical and feasibility studies and create blueprints that meet technical specifications.
  • Evaluate potential risks, materials, and costs.
  • Provide creative solutions to emerging issues and deficiencies.
  • Oversee and mentor junior staff while collaborating with a range of stakeholders.
  • Track project progress and compile status reports.
  • Ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations, including permits and safety standards, and deliver necessary technical documentation.
  • Work alongside multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of civil engineering experience, ideally within the healthcare or medical field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Proficient in design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
  • Strong project management and supervisory capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multi-disciplinary projects with a commitment to excellence and innovation.
  • Strong decision-making skills and effective prioritization and planning abilities.
  • Exceptional mathematical, IT, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a keen attention to detail.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
