Nurse Manager Primary Care Community Health Center Job Description

A non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is seeking a primary care nurse manager to lead the clinical support staff and operations within the Health Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the clinical support staff and operations provided within the Health Center.
  • Supervise clinical support staff, policies, procedures, and practice.
  • Coordinate patient care to ensure smooth progression during appointments and follow-up.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees as necessary.
  • Oversee orientation of new staff.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Clinical Support Staff meetings.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination among team members through training and effective team meetings.
  • Work with management team to ensure nurses and medical assistants are working at the top of their license/certificate.
  • Develop and build teams through guidance and professional coaching efforts.
Requirements:
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (occasional evenings and Saturdays may be required).
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
