Job Summary

CNO Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Finance & Accounting organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation, distribution, and processing of accounting transactions on a daily and monthly basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of financial operating systems and programs.
  • Manage the in-house check receipt processing and the balancing of treasury data to CNO systems.
  • Daily maintenance of the corporate travel program and corporate credit cards.
  • Maintain accounting systems and staff, directing bookkeeping activities (i.e. recording receipts, expenses, and tax payments).
  • Provide oversight on in-house check receipt processing and the balancing of external bank data to CNO systems.
  • Ensure proper compliance with all tax withholding and 1099 regulations.
  • Direct personnel activities of staff (i.e. hires, trains, appraises, rewards, motivates, disciplines, recommends termination as necessary).
  • Participate in finance and enterprise-level in departmental projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 5 years of directly related experience with strong accounting and insurance industry knowledge.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
