We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic to join our team at Carvana. As a key member of our Fleet Maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our vehicle haulers and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure our equipment is in top condition, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
  • Diagnostic and Repair: Use advanced diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues with our heavy equipment, including complex electrical and hydraulic problems.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Utilize welding and fabrication skills to repair or replace broken parts, ensuring our equipment is safe and operational.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all repairs and maintenance performed on our fleet, using our software to track parts and labor.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure seamless communication and efficient problem-solving.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in the Heavy Class 8 Mechanical Industry or a similar field.
  • Certifications: Obtain at least two ASE certifications within the first 6 months of employment (process sponsored by Carvana).
  • Tools and Equipment: Possess a set of basic tools and be able to use specialized equipment provided by Carvana.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 60 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and conditions.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
