We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our team at Montefiore Medical Center. As a key member of our Rehabilitation Medicine department, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and treatments to patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough neuropsychological evaluations to identify cognitive, emotional, and behavioral strengths and weaknesses in patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' specific needs and goals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare staff on neuropsychological concepts and strategies for optimal recovery.
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of neuropsychology and improve patient outcomes.
- Stay current with best practices and evidence-based treatments in neuropsychology, and apply this knowledge to inform clinical decision-making.
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
- Post-graduate training in clinical neuropsychology and/or rehabilitation psychology.
- License to practice psychology in the State of New York.
- Board certification or eligibility with the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) is desirable.
- Ability to offer bilingual neuropsychological services, particularly in Spanish, is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in rehabilitation neuropsychology and/or neuropsychology.
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients, families, and healthcare staff from diverse backgrounds.
- A dynamic and supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
- A competitive salary range of $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience.
