Job Summary

Transitional Services for New York, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team in the New York City Area. As a Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain the facilities and equipment of our residential and out-patient programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with supervisor to plan daily schedule and prioritize tasks.
  • Clean all bathrooms, sweep and mop building floors, and empty garbage cans.
  • Perform minor repairs on sinks, showers, toilets, light fixtures, windows, doors, and other building components.
  • Check and maintain residence boilers, hot water, and heating systems.
  • Prepare rooms for new residents, change lighting, and perform minor plastering and painting.
  • Assist with driving residents and staff to appointments, recreational activities, and personal needs shopping.
  • Keep up maintenance on residence vehicles and shovel snow as needed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma and relevant experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs and a current valid New York State Driver's License and safe driving history.
