Join Our Team as a Medication Aide

We are seeking dedicated Medication Aides to become part of our compassionate team at Carespring Health Care Management.

Your role will involve assisting with the administration of medications and treatments to residents in Assisted Living, following the directives of the attending physician and under the supervision of nursing staff.

Compensation: $20 to $24 Per Hour

Qualifications:
MA-C Medication Aide Certification Required
Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to facility policies and procedures regarding medication administration.
  • Report any medication errors or clinical concerns to the supervising nurse.
  • Assist in developing strategies to identify and prevent medication errors.
  • Complete necessary documentation and administrative tasks.
  • Foster positive working relationships with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists.
  • Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to resident assessments.
Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, administer, and document various types of medications as prescribed.
  • Measure and record vital signs accurately.
  • Verify patient identities prior to medication administration.
  • Follow protocols for medication documentation and storage.
  • Assist in the management of medication destruction as per regulations.
  • Clarify treatment orders when necessary.
  • Manage medication orders and returns in compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized medication area.
Requirements:
  • Active certification as a medication aide in the state.
  • Current certification as a State Tested Nursing Assistant.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations.
