About the Position

The Assistant Operations Manager is a key leadership role at Ground Up PDX, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our production kitchen and warehouse. This position requires a strong leader who can create a positive team culture and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of production and warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality products
  • Support production planning, including inventory management and procurement of ingredients
  • Lead staff in the production and packaging of nut butter, including mixing batches, labeling containers, and operating production equipment
  • Maintain high standards of quality and sanitation in line with regulatory agencies
  • Track and manage incoming deliveries, including inventory management and shipping supplies
  • Perform administrative tasks, including supply ordering, employee HR management, and cost reduction research
Requirements
  • Effective communication and supervisory experience
  • Trauma-informed management experience and knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Proficient in Google Docs, Sheets, and other computer programs
What We Offer

Ground Up PDX offers a competitive wage range of $20-24/hour, paid holidays, PTO accrual, and healthcare reimbursement. This is a non-exempt, full-time position with varied shifts during Ground Up operating hours.
