Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician at Major Health Partners, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting pharmacists in processing medication orders, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in prescription fulfillment, including counting medications, mixing or reconstituting medications as needed, and labeling prescription containers.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information, medication orders, and inventory levels.
• Monitor and resolve problems in the prescription fulfillment process, including processing information for third-party insurance claims and identifying situations requiring pharmacist's action.
• Assist customers with OTC purchases and locate OTC merchandise and maintain OTC inventory.
• Follow quality procedures to ensure accuracy and collaborate with co-workers to complete tasks assigned.
• Assist with maintaining inventory and records, and resolve problems related to prescription inquiries.
• Deliver stock orders to OnSite clinics and MHP locations as required.
• Assist with med packaging service provided to patients.

Requirements

• Good written and oral communication skills and math ability (including ability to work with fractions and percentages).
• Knowledge and experience completing prior authorizations.
• Completion of accredited program.
• CPHT licensure.
• Oral and written communication skills, ability to understand and follow directions, possess organizational skills, open to feedback and improving skills, willing to learn and ask questions, strong ethical and moral principles, flexible and willing to learn various duties, ability to multi-task, positive behavior, ability to think critically and under pressure, dependable, computer knowledge and ability to operate various technical devices.
