We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Law Specialist to join our team at the Internal Revenue Service. - Develop and implement audit techniques, legal arguments, and litigation strategy for significant cases
- Collaborate with SBSE Counsel employees and IRS Office of Chief Counsel to develop examination requirements and analysis
- Assist in trial preparation for estate and gift tax cases of significant importance
- Contribute to program objectives by identifying emerging issues and requesting SBSE Counsel collaboration
To be eligible for this position, you must have a strong understanding of federal tax laws, regulations, and judicial decisions. You must also have experience working in a legal environment, providing technical advice and guidance on tax law requirements, conducting legal research and analysis, and drafting written opinions and decisions.
Additionally, you must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You must also be able to communicate complex tax concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
