About the Role
Exact Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to support the Company's tax function. As a key member of the Finance team, you will be responsible for preparing and assisting with the Company's income tax compliance requirements for federal, state/local, and international jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of federal, state, and international income tax compliance, including preparing estimated income tax payments and extensions, as well as all related analysis and support.
- Assist in preparation of yearly/quarterly ASC 740 tax provision calculations.
- Perform general tax analysis and reconciliations, including tax fixed asset reporting and monthly tax accruals.
- Assist with document requests related to federal, state, and local income tax audits.
- Gather information necessary for non-income tax compliance including sales and use tax, VAT, unclaimed property and personal property taxes.
- Assist in preparation and gathering of information for various annual report filings.
- Assemble information related to notices received from federal, state, and local taxing jurisdictions.
- Assist in implementing new processes as it relates to tax law and regulatory changes.
- Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned.
- Ability to interact, coordinate, and communicate effectively with internal staff and external vendors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to be a team player and help the organization achieve its objectives any way necessary when called upon.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
- Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day.
- Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
- Ability and means to travel between Madison locations.
