Position Overview

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver precise and timely Armenian interpretation services across multiple environments, including healthcare, community, and legal settings.
  • Facilitate dialogue between non-Armenian speaking personnel and Armenian-speaking children, ensuring clear communication.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to all ethical standards and guidelines in interpreting.
  • Assist in translating written documents as required.
  • Enhance staff awareness regarding effective practices when collaborating with interpreters.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to cultural nuances and provide culturally relevant services.
  • Support scheduling, coordination, and other administrative functions as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as an Armenian interpreter, with involvement in healthcare, community, and legal interpreting.
  • Fluency in both English and Armenian.
  • Preferred certification in interpreting from a recognized institution.
  • Outstanding listening, retention, and note-taking abilities.
  • Capability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
