Job Summary

John Muir Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to a diverse population, including emergency and critical care patients.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and quality by identifying and reporting potential risks and near misses.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current California RN license.
  • 1 year of experience in emergency or critical care nursing, or completion of an emergency nursing training program.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a Level I trauma center.
  • Certification in TNCC or other trauma-related certifications.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology.
