Position Title: Speech and Language Pathologist or Clinical Fellow

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech and Language Pathologist or Clinical Fellow to join our team at Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $35.58 and includes a sign-on bonus of $10,000 for licensed professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage speech and language therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and evaluate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Assess communication abilities of service recipients and create tailored service plans.
  • Deliver direct speech therapy services to children and adults in various programs.
  • Engage in meetings to provide professional insights and advocate for individuals served.
  • Conduct swallowing evaluations and provide necessary interventions.
  • Consult with families and other professionals to ensure program continuity.
  • Maintain compliance with Medicaid documentation standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in relevant meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a graduate degree and be licensed by the New York State Education Department as a Speech Pathologist. Provisional certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities is preferred. Experience in treating individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous.
