About the Role

At Novo Nordisk, we are seeking a Senior Safety Professional to provide leadership and support in attaining a safe working environment. This role will provide direct support for finished or aseptic production, technical direction for safety professionals, and maintain and report safety data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction to safety professionals
  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Creation and implementation of safety programs
  • Support Aseptic or Finished Production with safety management (20%-time commitment)
  • Provide safety expertise and solutions to all managers and projects for resolving known or potential issues
  • Provide safety training and tools for the core processes to improve safety performance
  • Communicate safety performance statistics on a monthly/weekly basis
  • Review all recordable accidents and coach root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions
  • For assigned departments: Increase the awareness of safety through various communication tools
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a directly related field (MA/MA degree preferred) required
  • Minimum five (5) years of safety experience, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred
  • Full knowledge of OSHA regulations required
  • Good skills in root cause analysis for analyzing accidents preferred
  • Working knowledge of ISO 45001 preferred
  • Industrial hygiene preferred
  • Worker's Compensation management preferred
  • Emergency management/planning knowledge and experience preferred
  • Pharmaceutical experience a plus
  • Good communication and writing skills required
  • Ability to develop and manage action plans to achieve targets preferred
