Job Description

At Alpla Inc., we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Installation and Maintenance: Install and set up proprietary equipment, conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks, and perform minor modifications and adjustments to machinery as needed.
  • Predictive Maintenance: Utilize predictive maintenance methodologies, such as condition monitoring and diagnostic tools, to identify potential issues before they lead to downtime or production disruptions.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose technical problems and malfunctions in molding machines using a systematic approach, collaborate with technical experts, and execute repairs on molding machines to restore equipment functionality promptly.
  • Facility Maintenance Support: Contribute to general facility maintenance tasks, maintain a safe and organized working environment, and collaborate with the facilities team to ensure a well-maintained and conducive production environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
  • Skills: Knowledge of industrial maintenance safety, ability to read basic blueprints and schematics, familiarity with power transmission systems and industrial controls, basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics, experience with programmable controllers, and knowledge of occupational math skills.
Physical Demands:
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally to climb or balance.
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
