Solar Installer Job Description

As a solar installer at Purelight Power, you will be responsible for assisting the installation team while safely installing roof and ground-mounted solar systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install rooftop and ground-mount solar PV systems, including flashing, racking, module level power electronics, array wiring, and junction boxes.
  • Maintain a clean job site and work truck.
  • Assist the crew lead and electrician in the completion of the installation.
  • Assist in loading and unloading company vehicles.
  • Follow company safety policies.
  • Work in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.
  • Interact with clients in a respectful manner.
  • Obtain fall protection certification and electrical safety certification.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $20-$24/hourly wage.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and additional benefits.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly.
  • Ability to climb a ladder and work on a steep sloped roof.
  • Ability to use safety equipment per protocol.
  • Ability to work in a crawl space/attic.
  • Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Team-oriented and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Professional attitude and ability to maintain continual improvement.
  • Ability to work outside during all four seasons.
  • Ability to work with power tools and hand tools.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience in construction and/or roofing (preferred).
  • OSHA 10 certification (preferred).
  • NABCEP certification (preferred).
