Job Title: 6-9 Math Teacher

Bladen County Schools is seeking a qualified Mathematics Educator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The 6-9 Math Teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging lesson plans to ensure all students are engaged and participating in individual and classroom learning objectives. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to establish and maintain positive relationships while focusing on high expectations and continuous improvement for student learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Evaluate individual student and class performance to adjust instruction and improve student learning.
  • Implement current best practice instruction and resources to enhance student learning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and required reports to comply with district and state regulations.
  • Manage classroom structure and procedures to establish a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Model positive behaviors to promote social and interpersonal skills.
  • Oversee assistant teachers, student teachers, and volunteers to ensure an effective classroom structure.
  • Participate in meetings and respond to emergency situations as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field.
  • North Carolina Teacher Licensure.
Physical Requirements:

The successful candidate will be required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, write, and operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds may be required.
