Position Summary:
The Account Manager at Interdependence Public Relations is a proactive individual who is ready to engage fully in their role. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with colleagues to achieve client objectives by establishing impactful media relationships, crafting compelling pitches, and consistently delivering creative and relevant outputs. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two to three years of experience in a public relations agency, demonstrating creativity, a positive demeanor, exceptional communication and writing skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key media contacts across various outlets.
- Develop rapport with clients, internal teams, and vendors.
- Create a variety of written materials, including media pitches, award submissions, briefing documents, and client-ready content.
- Coordinate special events such as briefings at major trade shows, media engagements, and product launches.
- Actively participate in team and client meetings, along with available training sessions.
- Proactively seek opportunities to advance team and client initiatives.
- Assist in executing campaigns and various projects, including planning, research, and media relations activities.
- Collaborate with supervisors to set goals and enhance skills.
- Mentor junior Account Executives and interns.
- Accurately complete work products, timesheets, and reports.
- Support an average of 5-7 accounts.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2-3 years of full-time experience in public relations, preferably in an agency setting, with a focus on technology.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, advertising, or a related field.
- Ability to develop story angles, secure media placements, and coordinate interviews.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and writing abilities.
- Capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, creative, and fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative team player who can also work independently as required.
- Exhibits a positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and PR software (e.g., Cision).
