Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of technicians and managers.
  • Provide strategic guidance for the long-term planning of new attractions.
  • Establish and oversee design, construction, and maintenance timelines and budgets.
  • Manage the upkeep of all rides, attractions, aquatic systems, landscaping, and facilities.
  • Implement and uphold high standards for the maintenance of all equipment and systems.
  • Oversee capital development and financial expenditures for the park.
  • Supervise the selection and approval of contractors and vendors for park projects.
  • Engage in park management discussions and collaborate with upper management and team members.
  • Influence future investments in rides, shows, attractions, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with various corporate and governmental entities.
  • Act as a representative to local, regional, state, and federal agencies, as well as community and business groups.
  • Participate in meetings and hearings to advocate for park interests.
Qualifications for Success:
  • At least ten years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance, project management, or construction management, preferably in a theme park or similar environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse technical team.
  • Technical expertise in amusement rides, aquatic systems, and associated technologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of merchandising, culinary, and theater design/construction.
  • Extensive knowledge of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection.
  • Thorough understanding of construction methods and practices.
Additional Requirements:
  • AIMS or NAARSO certification is mandatory.
  • An active Professional Engineering license is highly desirable.
  • Certified Pool Operator certification is preferred.
  • A valid state driver's license is required, and the ability to obtain a company driver's license.
  • Must be capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • This position involves extensive walking and standing throughout the work shift.
  • Physical activities include kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching overhead, and fine motor tasks.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekdays, weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays.
  • Adherence to grooming standards and company policies is expected.
