Customer Service Specialist
- Key Responsibilities:
- Surpass customer expectations for timely pick-up and delivery services.
- Engage in effective, prompt, and courteous communication during challenging situations.
- Core Functions and Duties:
- Ensure acceptance of automated routing guide assignments and tenders.
- Coordinate appointments with shippers and/or receivers.
- Identify and rectify EDI discrepancies.
- Maintain updated load status within the system.
- Proactively inform shippers and/or receivers regarding load status updates.
- Additional Duties Related to Customer and Carrier Engagement:
- Initiate EDI setup for newly contracted carriers.
- Facilitate training sessions for carrier contacts.
- Establish new customer and vendor users within the Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Familiarity with protocols for handling phone calls, emails, instant messages, etc.
- Comprehension of the company's mission, values, and objectives.
- Required Skills:
- Intermediate mathematical abilities.
- Outstanding service orientation.
- Experience Needed:
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service.
- Educational Background:
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- A Bachelor's degree may substitute for work experience requirements.
