Job Overview

AMBE Engineering LLC is seeking an experienced Automotive Plant Manager Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing tactical operational wins to OEMs and T1 Suppliers via extensive industry knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor launch preparation for new projects and prepare the plant for launch of new products/processes.
  • Ensure all standards and instructions are followed.
  • Contribute to the result of internal and external audits in the plant.
  • Be the 1st level of escalation and key contact for Central Functions.
  • Ensure implementation and compliance with RA standards and local legal requirements.
  • Contribute to improvement of standards in alignment with Central Functions.
  • Be aware of CM/profitability by product and foster respective improvement measures and profitability enhancement.
  • Monitor 2nd and 3rd shift production, results, deliverables, emergencies, and maintain a hands-on approach with corrective action and visits.
  • Ensure Plant safety at all levels of production/supervision.
  • Achieve defined KPIs and implement strategic plans to correct unmet KPIs.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs (incl. all functional costs, investments/amortization, Personnel costs, general site costs).
  • Maintain effective communication with employees at all levels of operation.
  • Maintain and improve company's culture.
  • Leadership of local plant/ Development of employees.
  • Developing, maintaining, and reviewing of concepts with suppliers, customers, and other departments.
  • Alignment with cross-functional project team.
  • Performing quantitative and qualitative evaluations, considering impact to logistics costs and structure.
  • Initiating and implementing process improvements through innovative creative ideas.
  • Develops, maintains, and reviews concepts with suppliers and customers.
  • Monitors implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Works with Quality Department to analyze any quality concerns throughout the Production process, and implement necessary changes in order to improve production efficiency, quality and processing.
  • Coordinates the efforts of cross-functional groups and across shifts to resolve bottlenecks, parts shortages, machine maintenance, manpower issues and production capacity.
  • Ensures timely shipments to all customers and prepares and implements work orders and plans as required.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of Management in Automotive, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or other related industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Operations, or other related fields preferred.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills and ability to communicate effectively with client customers at all organizational levels.
  • Strong oral and written communication and documentation skills, including presentation skills (MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
  • Experience leading small teams or delivering projects or programs.
  • Experience prioritizing tasks and managing assignments in a collaborative team environment.
  • ERP and SAP experience required.
  • Previous Consulting Experience Preferred.
  • Possesses strong leadership, automotive, operations, relationship management, manufacturing strategy, and budget skills.
  • Possesses strong MS Office, MTM, IATF, SAP knowledge.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly and effectively.
