Job Summary:

The Junior Sous Chef is a key member of our culinary team, responsible for preparing and directing the preparation of food to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role requires a high level of expertise in food preparation, kitchen management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit preparation and knowledge of base sauces, stocks, and soups, as well as the ability to create compound sauces and derivatives of mother sauces.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of weights, measures, and various cooking techniques, ensuring accurate and efficient food preparation.
  • Reading and math skills for recipes and measurement, ensuring accurate and efficient food preparation.
  • Knowledge of MSDS program, ensuring safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ability to stand on a hard surface for long periods of time, with the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects.
  • Ability to tolerate areas with extreme hot and cold temperatures, with the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Must possess effective communication and organizational skills, ensuring seamless execution of kitchen operations.
