Position Summary:

Crescent Paper Tube Company, a longstanding leader in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled professional for the role of Quality and Materials Engineer on the first shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct incoming inspections to ensure materials meet specifications and maintain integrity.
  • Perform line inspections to verify adherence to established practices.
  • Execute line inspections to confirm that materials and products comply with specifications.
  • Carry out packaging inspections to ensure the integrity of materials.
  • Document and report inspection findings effectively.
  • Notify production teams of any quality defects and assist in troubleshooting.
  • Review production documentation on a daily basis.
  • Engage in laboratory and quality testing procedures.
  • Manage data entry tasks efficiently.
  • Support the management of controlled documents.
  • Assist in preparation for audits and participate during the audit process.
  • Attend and contribute to quality meetings.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality.
  • Familiarity with the paper industry is advantageous.
  • Understanding of good manufacturing practices is essential.
  • Experience in communication with auditors and third-party certification bodies is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and database management.
  • Ability to adhere closely to quality standards.
  • Demonstrated strong decision-making abilities.
