Responsibilities:
LOCATION - Hybrid Work Model

As a member of the Data Quality team at Celanese, you will play a pivotal role in defining, orchestrating, and ensuring adherence to the Material SAP processes and Certificates of Analysis (COA). Your contributions will enhance the management and configuration of SAP controls for the global production of commercial materials within the Engineered Materials Division. In your capacity as a Global Quality Specialist, you will engage in the design and ongoing maintenance of our SAP material governance framework. Given the critical nature of data integrity, this position is vital to our comprehensive data quality initiative and necessitates extensive collaboration across various business sectors. You will regularly interact with the corporate IT department and maintain daily communication with our global production, regulatory, and technology teams. Additionally, this role will support the regional internal audit initiatives.

Exceptional organizational and planning abilities are essential, along with superior time management skills in this dynamic environment. Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft business applications is required.

  • COA Management: Extract data, assess error types, identify root causes, and process Certificates of Analysis (COA). Oversee COA outputs and profiles within SAP.
  • BOM and Inspection Plan Oversight: Manage and resolve SAP data issues related to Material Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Inspection Plans. Ensure timely completion of all tasks assigned through the EVOLVE portal. Utilize tools for bulk updates and Excel macros.
  • Business Process Analysis Support: Assist Business Process Analysts (BPAs) in comprehending errors and the necessary corrective actions. This role involves 25% transactional work.
  • Data Reporting: Access SAP to extract data, generate custom reports, and create ADHOC reports.
  • Issue Tracking: Document tickets and monitor systematic issues, test IT solutions, and implement permanent fixes.
  • Standard Reporting: Utilize SAP, SM (Sample Manager), Winshuttle/Evolve, and BI for standard reporting; including QM10, MB51, and QA33, along with data uploads into the system and departmental reports.
  • Process Planning: Execute all required process steps as outlined in our methodologies.
  • Issue Resolution: Anticipate, identify, track, and address issues and risks affecting SAP applications.
  • Service Commitment: Meet service commitments for assigned deliverables and proactively communicate work status.
  • Professional Interaction: Engage professionally with internal and external global customers.
  • Collaboration with Third Parties: Work with vendors to develop process enhancements.
  • IT Support: Provide process expertise for major projects and integrations.
  • Master Data Expertise: Serve as the Process Expert for Quality Master data (COA, Inspection Plan, COA Profiles).

Qualifications:

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate business processes into technical requirements.
  • Comprehensive functional and process knowledge of core business operations, including order processing, delivery processing, scheduling, billing, pricing agreements, and rebates.
  • Capability to recognize the impact of processes or data across multiple functional areas or SAP modules.
  • Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Highly motivated and reliable, with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Able to perform under pressure to meet deadlines while multitasking and prioritizing effectively.
  • Familiarity with internal processes such as Request for Specification Change (RSC), New Product Entry Form (NPEF), Sample Manager (SM), and Quality Notification (QN) is advantageous.
  • Experience with data/reporting software packages such as Tableau, Alteryx, BI, and PowerBI, or the willingness to learn.
