About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate After School Program Facilitator to join our team at Elevo. As a Youth Mentor/Coach, you will play a vital role in motivating and engaging TK/K-6th grade students through social-emotional learning and enrichment activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Motivate students through social-emotional learning and enrichment activities such as STEAM.
  • Lead lessons designed to increase excitement about learning.
  • Assist with homework completion and snack distribution.
  • Effectively manage student behavior with minimal assistance.
  • Ensure student safety during outdoor activities.
  • Work effectively with staff and embrace professional development.
  • Serve as a positive role model to the students to build kids' self-esteem and emotional wellness.

About You:

  • You have been successful working with elementary and/or middle school kids.
  • You understand and implement engaging lesson plans while maintaining accuracy and organization in activities.
  • You effectively support kids' behavioral management needs.
  • You connect with students and foster positive learning experiences.
  • You can improvise, adapt, and take initiative when needed by paying close attention to student needs.
  • You are approachable, empathetic, patient, and able to build trust with kids.
  • You present yourself as a confident leader and a positive role model.
  • You are comfortable utilizing online platforms for training and resources.
  • You collaborate seamlessly with school administrators, parents, and fellow coaches.

Requirements:

  • You must be eligible to work in the United States, complete and pass a Live-Scan background check, and TB screening.
  • 1-2 years of working experience in education, coaching, child development, or other child-focused experiences strongly preferred.
  • You must have reliable transportation.
  • You are willing to follow COVID-19 protocols outlined by the school.
