We are seeking Certified Nursing Assistants for our hospice services.

Minimum Qualifications: Must possess Arkansas Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant certification, current CPR certification, and satisfactory TB skin test documentation. A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting, particularly with terminally ill patients, is required. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage human suffering, emergencies, and other stressors. Team-oriented individuals with strong personal and professional ethics are essential. A personal vehicle is necessary for travel to patient residences, along with a valid Arkansas Driver's License and current auto liability insurance.

Job Overview: The role involves delivering personal care to hospice patients and maintaining their immediate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct personal care, including bathing, repositioning, shampooing, and oral hygiene.
  • Adhere to the aide care plan while providing services, conducting patient assessments, interventions, and exercising clinical judgment.
  • Ensure all patient care activities comply with state and federal regulations and meet accepted standards of practice, policies, and procedures aligned with Circle of Life's mission.
  • Conduct timely visits, including evaluations, informational visits, follow-ups, scheduled visits, unscheduled visits, and visits at the time of death.
  • Maintain a consistent level of care regardless of the home environment or personal preferences.
  • Ensure visits are conducted in a consistent and timely manner.
  • Maintain professional licensure and engage in educational programs and professional development.
  • Communicate any concerns to the primary nurse promptly and document in the aide notes.
  • Exhibit dependable attendance with minimal absences.
  • Participate in staff meetings as required.
  • Assist in mentoring new staff members.
  • Manage visits to best accommodate the needs of patients and their families.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safe personal care practices.
  • Complete approximately 20 visits per week.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and timely per policy, reflecting mileage and time spent in patient homes.
  • Treat patients with the utmost respect, honoring their privacy.
  • Uphold high ethical standards and advocate for the rights of patients and their family caregivers.
  • Understand and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Treat all staff, volunteers, visitors, and others with respect.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the organizational Code of Conduct.
  • Follow safe personal care practices.
  • Utilize equipment as necessary to ensure safe care for both patients and self, such as hoyer lifts, walkers, and gait belts.
